SPIROL UK needed to improve QA on large batches of Coiled Spring Pins, ensuring each unit met defined weight specs.

The CI Precision Solution

SPIROL UK deployed the CI Precision MX precision grader to automate the weight grading of small industrial components as part of its quality assurance process.

The system was used to sort a batch of two million lightly oil-coated spring pins, each weighing up to 500 mg. By integrating automated weight grading into production, SPIROL was able to verify weight consistency across the entire batch without introducing manual inspection steps.

The MX precision grader enabled SPIROL to:

• Weigh and grade each component individually to support batch-level quality assurance

• Sort parts into multiple weight bands, allowing detection of small deviations
